Erskine Currie

Life has always been a turn of events for this man of God.  Starting from the age of 5, playing sounds on anything he can get his hands on was a gift he had from God.  Starting out as a drummer, he played for the church while growing up with his uncle who was also a drummer.  Later in life, he became addicted to wanting to play the keyboard because he loved putting sounds together with notes he thought of in his mind.  At the age of 17, he began self-teaching himself how to play the keyboard.  Even though he never learned how to read music, his ear was remarkable when listening to sounds to playback.  At the age of 22, he began making music with some old high school friends on a drum machine which started him on a new journey into sound and music.  

 

Songs began coming forth out of him in 1998 - 2004. He wrote songs that where being sung at the local church he was playing for at the time.  "I have always had a passion for music and ministry and I know that God has chosen me to move forward in his will for my life through ministry and music.  Music is in my heart.  Music for me is not just another way of expressing how I feel but more so how I see the world around me.  Being inspired by many other musicians and teachers, I have grown to know that, when you receive understanding, you are to give it away also." - Erskine Currie

 

With his wife Andrea Currie who is also a musician and singer, he is now pursuing his Ministry in music by helping out other churches with there sound and music through playing, teaching and mentoring.
